"MAIN PLACE" ACTIVITY CENTER

FOR PERSONS WITH MENTAL RETARDATION

SERVICES 

The Center offers a place for persons to socialize and develop life skills.
Activities include:                       
Bingo – Every Monday from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.  Prizes are given out throughout the evening.
Life Group – Every other Tuesday from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.  In this setting, individuals practice cooking quick and easy nutritional meals and engage in various arts and crafts activities.
Movie Night – Every other Wednesday night from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.  This is an opportunity to socialize in a relaxed environment.
Peer Group – Every Thursday evening from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.  The group participates in social-skill building activities aimed at helping individuals get along better with peers, coworkers and family.

ELIGIBILITY

Persons with mental retardation who either live independently in the community or that reside with their families, and persons in local group homes.

 

LOCATION

The Main Place is located at 9 Main Street in downtown Bradford.

 

PROGRAM STAFF

The Supports Coordination Staff, along with volunteers, run the various programs at The Main Place.
