 | SERVICES
 | Intensive homebased family therapy and support services in an effort to
keep families together. Family Based Services is designed to reduce or prevent out
of home placements for children. Family Based Services will also assist in reuniting
families whose children have been placed out of home.

 | CLIENT ELIGIBILITY
 | Children and adolescents with a mental health disorder (documented in a
psychiatric or psychological evaluation within six months).
|
 | Without intervention, the child is at some risk for out of home
placement.
|
 | The child's symptoms result in a significant level of family conflict
and relational problems.
|
 | No cost to families.
|

 | SERVICE AREA
 | McKean County.

 | PROGRAM STAFF
 | Each family enrolled in this program works with a two-person team:
a Master's Level therapist and a Bachelor's Level casemanager.
|
 | There are two Family Based Services teams in McKean County.
|
 | The Master's Level worker is required to have two-years prior
experience. The Bachelor's Level partner must have at least one-year experience,
prior to Family Based Services work.
|
 | All Family Based Services workers complete a three-year training program
in family therapy during their tenure with the program.
|
 | Staff manage a crisis service (twenty-four hours per day/seven days a
week).
|
|
 | REFERRAL PROCEDURE
 | Psychiatric or psychological evaluation indicating need for intensive
treatment.
